It's beautifully lit and designed, with several interactive bits and photo ops.

You check in and get a wristband that you can tap throughout the experience to earn points for your chosen house. The Harry Potter experience takes a solid hour or so to go through. If I had kids, it would take significantly more, I think. And I would say as an adult on my own, that took me about half a day. I came for the Harry Potter experience and stayed for the rest of the museum. We found the reviews of others to be very helpful regarding the trails, picnic area, and demographics as they brought us right to the park.
#Escape from la hershey portable
There were two portable bathrooms there (for emergencies 😀). There was a nice picnic area in the parking lot which really made it nice because we were prepared with lunch and a tablecloth. That was pretty cool!! The trails were pretty clear although you still had to watch where you were walking or you could trip on the rocks sticking up. We saw chipmunks in the rock field and there were snakes along the trails as we were warned by others there (be careful).

I’m sharing pictures/video of the ringing rocks at Boulder field. That was the only drawback…we were hoping to see the waterfall flowing. Unfortunately the waterfall was dry because of the lack of rain. The leaves were just starting to change which made our pictures look beautiful. It was the most perfect day for the adventure…75 degrees, clear and sunny. We visited Ringing Rocks Park on October 20, 2021. Oh and if you happen to be in the back barn looking at some collectibles, say hi to Harry (dirty harry) the long time friendly knowledgeable older fella with the white beard and a friendly smile who can share some history and some stories about the Quakertown Farmers Market and Flea Market. Now, outside behind the indoor market is the Flea Market with outdoor tables and a few barns with lots of antiques and collectibles from classic bicycles to collectible glasses, antique furniture and too much to write but I took a few pictures to help you decide if it's worth the visit. There is a large pet and aquarium store and just a little bit of everything with quite a few places to grab a bite to eat or a snack. Fresh baked goods from Flecks ( still going strong) Cheesecakes are now $8.20 and single sticky buns are $2.50 Lou's surplus is in a new location around corner from old place. Some new and some that have been here for years. Nice visit however not as busy due to 4th of July holiday! Inside part of the mart there are lots of neat stores. I will come back to explore/enjoy more of the park. This must be a good place to go fishing as I saw a guy carrying some fish back to his car by the roadside. Or just picnic at one of the parking & picnic areas for your convenience. In summer, it will be a great park to bring kids to have fun in the water while sitting on one of the benches built by the creeks. And the running creeks or streams you would pass by adds to the serenity. It’s such a pleasant hike with birds chirping, spring flowers blooming, trees turning green all along. We parked at #16 and took the White-Yellow-Blue Loop Trails, with a 6.9 miles today (). So there were quite some elevations going up and down the mountain trails. Otherwise you may end up driving another 10+ minutes to meet your people.īefore I came for the group hike this morning, I thought this park is as “flat” as South Jersey. So if you need to meet with a group, better share a specific spot or pin it on maps. And I certainly hope the curators of this museum have a change of heart and start to tell the rest of the history of Lancaster.įirst, this is a huge park with lots of parking and picnic areas marked by numbers.

Once more "Critical Race Theory" being shoved down peoples throats. This isn't the first time I have seen this in a museum lately. Once more what should have been a museum that told the whole story of Lancaster and all its peoples instead "rewrote history" by its single empahasis of politically charged events. 1) event of the killing of native Americans in the 1760s 2) the civil war period and slavery in the 1860's and 3) the civil unrest in the 1960's. Who settled in Lancaster since it first became a town? What it was like to live in Lancaster? Instead there was one room and it chose to focus on 3 "events". Hoped to see photos and artifacts documenting the neighborhoods, places where people worked, played, community organizations, churches etc. Was looking forward to a seeing a museum that documented the experiences and lives of the people who settled in Lancaster and made this their home. Visited the Lancaster History Museum in April 2022.
